Something small 3yrs. ago.

I don't know if anyone counts engagements haha.... But it's cool to think three years ago we made a commitment to get married in the temple in August of 2010! Love you Austin!

It Plopped.

Yeah, overnight it plopped snow! We didn't have barely any of this the day before! This morning, no one could get out of our parking lot to school. But thankfully we are all married BYU-Idaho students looking out for one another, and everyone came out of the apartments this morning to help push cars onto the more-so packed road. Later in the day they brought this bulldozer. I have the 8am class, and Austin goes around 9am. He worked so hard to get me out of here and drop me off to school that I decided to walk home so he could have the car to get between work and school. (Normally I steal the car away to go home and work on my online class then pick him up from work.) Boy was that an adventure... I didn't realize (or think) about how deep the snow was. If I were to guess it snowed a foot and a half. I was literally walking like a cat with tape on the bottom of its paws. Lift a leg up POP, stomp down. Lift the other leg up POP, stomp down. Some pla

It's So Close!

I made my book for my show! I am so glad I took book arts because I think handmade books are that much nicer to have at your fine arts exhibition. Austin's so patient as my nights are filled with more and more art projects to finish! The next thing I have to do is make business cards, invites, and a portfolio site. I can't believe how much I already have going right before March 21st (the opening day!) But I seem to keep getting a ton done and I have been blessed with energy! Maybe it's the sock bun powers?  I think it's lucky. Austin and I have even managed to squeeze in our workouts a lot more than we thought we could. We've taken on our dance video by the same trainer... nothing like goofing around to a silly dance-exercise video to relieve stress with your best friend <3

The Applications are in....

Holy Crap. The applications are in for Law school! 4-12 weeks. Sorry.  And it's going to drive us insane too haha! Friends and Family, we have stressed over picking where we felt we needed to go. (And if you know me I am an anxious ball of worry.) We know there was a lot of places that a lot of you hoped we would end up going, but these are where we feel we needed to apply between the program Austin needed, where I could go to school, living expenses, and of course likelihood of adoption and the laws associated. That being said: University of Gonzaga (Spokane, WA) University of Seattle (Seattle, WA University of Wyoming (Laramie, WY) University of Nebraska (Lincoln, NE) Texas Tech University (Lubbock, TX) University of Maine (Portland, ME) University of New Hampshire (Concord, NH) Quinnipiac University (Hamden, CT) University of Miami (Coral Gables, FL) Wish us luck!

The Lights went Out

The power went out in the middle of the night, and our fire alarm freaked out for the time being.  It was also subzero temperatures, -18°F again I believe it said.  If you live up far north like we do, it doesn't get light until around 9am, and 10am is when it's more daylight. So we got ready in the bathroom like this! We found out school was cancelled and had locked the doors until 11am, so Austin and I had to focus on staying warm in a basement apartment with no heat in subzero temps.  We put on the thermals, and brought all the blankets to the living room away from windows and doors. Our bedroom was probably the warmest, but that was where the crazy fire alarm was that was freaking out due to no power. We hadn't slept since 3am at this point because of it. Austin was considering clipping the wires haha. The power ended up returning after 10am as seen in this photo (you can see how dark it still is outside this time of year). Hey, it

The Beginning of the Last

The both of us have started our last semester at BYU-Idaho! Class of 2013! The both of us spent time collecting recipes we could make throughout this semester that will help us eat through our food storage. Lately I have been obsessed with making Honey Clouds :     Austin has a semester mostly full of his Spanish Minor requirements, it's quite extensive here at BYU-Idaho because of all the returned missionaries. I've got a frenzy happening right before my show.  Goorin Bros Inc. is Austin's favourite hat shop since my dad introduced him to it, and it was his Christmas gift. He was sweet and ordered me a hat too with his gift card. (He got them all on an extreme winter sale.) So we're busting out of here in style ;) To kick it all off and enjoy our time together, we spent two days pasta making and invited our friends over to celebrate. Austin decided to make the ravioli with Chicken Marsala. I made some mini apple tarts for dessert
