Stuffed Burgers

Yeah so this happened yesterday. His and Her Burgers lol. Stuffed Burgers! (Mine was used with Pao di Quiejo, Brazilian Cheesy Bread)  Juno had to monitor everything ;) She kept trying to climb up on the counter we were using, so we gave her a chair to watch Austin who was at the grill outside. (Her buddy) She also got a new collar the other day when we were in Cheyenne. Everybody got new clothes on my birthday! Austin's wearing the Van Heussen he found at Ross. I also don't know why I never got a black maxi skirt before. Best. Summer wear. Ever.  (Excuse the silly vignette, clothes were hanging up on the door haha.) Today we're having Austin's good friend over, and of course that means some fancy cooking. Errands galore have filled our day because we don't really cook that much during a full work week. (Sadly.) Juno's kind of confused at the commotion. I think she thinks it's all for her.... We visited the

Clothings.

I made my maxi dress in an hour and a half -- it was that easy! If you don't know what I'm talking about,   .:here:. is the post I mentioned wanting to do the project. I will have to get a picture of it on when it's cooler! (Waaay too hot right now.... which might mean a t-shirt sleeve one on the way!)  It fits soooo well I was shocked! Especially for just tracing your t-shirt. Up in Cheyenne I used my birthday money for some new clothes :) It was a nice get-away from my usual "work" clothes then to "slum" clothes when I get home from work. Amazing what a tunic, leggings, laced boots, and a top bun will do! Austin was so sweet, and got me some Hi-Chews at Walmart last night. I love them and introduced them to Austin... we got a pack together, and the next day the bag disappeared because he loved them so much. So he got me another pack haha! Annnd... those disappeared pretty fast too. (by me this time ;) ) I had the

Sticks make good Friends.

Both of us had the day off, and I wanted to go to Cheyenne on my "birthday."  So, we left our kitty home alone, and kinda felt guilty about it as she followed us and watched us leave. Cheyenne is Austin's hometown, and he showed me his old high school, stomping grounds, and house. (Does anyone want to explain to me why anyone needs that many terra-cotta pots? lol!) The city has been growing like crazy. Austin kept sounding like an old man "Oh, that used to be this. Oh this is new. That got turned into... Oh that place has been torn down since." Haha. It's really fun to place someone with their childhood! Needless to say there is a ton to do since all these businesses are coming in, and we shopped like nuts (you know, college kid style with the birthday money ;) ) I even got fabric on sale at JoAnn's to do this pinterest project I've been saving forever. It's from a blog I follow called " Cotton and Curls ."

The Great 23

What really even happens on your 23rd? That's when you know you are old. No "16 and I can drive," "18 I'm an adult," and "21 and I'm legal."  23. What do you have in store for me, huh? It was a great birthday nonetheless! The week started out interesting --you all heard about the cow semi, and the manure dumped on my bike. But Mom's birthday package saved my crappy (haha) day. Birthday outfit, and scrubs sewing patterns! So thoughtful! My dad also got me a carhartt certificate which I am so glad to have for this upcoming Laramie winter. I've been truly spoiled! Having the world's most awesome cat doesn't hurt either, and an amazing husband who made sure the house was extra nice this week. We've also come to the conclusion that Juno might be part owl. Look at that second picture haha! She was pretty interested in all the wrapping paper that was in the room too... My Carmen family ca

Night Wandering [Photos]

Considering we never see each other until 9pm 10pm each night, we decided to climb the stairs the other night, and head to the downtown. It's just across the tracks, and boy was it active!  We found a great place just last night (because we did it again) that serves crème brulée and the meanest pub chips with spinach artichoke dip.  We live in such an awesome place.

What to do on Brennyn's Day Off.

What do you do on your day off from your full-time college job? Do your professional other job!  Watercolour a commission away! Between wash-drying breaks (so the pigments don't bleed)... take a selfie with a cat. Paint again. When you get hungry, cook yourself a dinner. All that paintbrush lifting, sheesh! Seriously, paint again so you have the base washes down! Eat some ice cream you got on sale.  Sketch in the final details --by this point you are cross-eyed. Play with Kitty and get her dizzy too! Then of course, it's 8pm and you have to wake up at 3:50 am for other work.  Tomorrow, the rest will ensue after work, and I will have a beautiful piece to send off! On my next day off? Illustration work! I can't wait to put up the posters I am making on our shop (mom and I) Which you should visit by the way .:Here:. Peace out! xoxo
