Hardwork and Fun

Even though I started school, I still had to get our farmer's market stuff canned. So pickles and more peaches, and wax beans and beets happened! Also, we've been trying to cook a lot so we don't have to worry about it during the week. Easier said than done, we did end up eating at a pizza place that Food Network recognized as the best pizza in Wyoming! (They had GF!) Rightfully so, even our dessert was homemade ice cream.  Here's a japanese egg (loaf?) called tomago I made one night. I was pretty proud of it, it's hard to make. I even have a the special pan it requires! It's the egg you see on sushi if that helps anyone!  Friday night, because I worked a morning shift, we got to go out to enjoy UW to the fullest. Kristine (Austin's sister) brought her friend and we all went to the first sporting event -- Cowgirl's Volleyball. It was against the Idaho Vandals. Which was fun because we just escaped from there. (Not really. I l

Beginnings of the Harvest

School for me starts Monday! I've been trying so hard the past few days to prepare us for winter savings and to have fresh (kinda sorta we'll get to that) veggies and fruits! I got a new backpack and it's hanging up as a reminder of holy crap we will have no time to do ANYTHING.    I love food. And everything that has to do with food... especially if I get to enjoy the process. That's how Austin is, and why we are so awesome together haha! I mean who else takes their law school day break and makes fresh mango sherbert with their wife? A real man that's what lol. A couple weeks ago, his mom gave us the retro ice cream recipe book that came with his grandma's ice cream maker we have. That's why Austin is the way he is... his mom is queen of homemaking and so was his grandma! I guess it rubbed off on him. And if you know my mom and family, same deal. Queens of homemaking everywhere. I'm determined to become one myself. Plus my dad taught me to

Farmer's Market

I love homemade food. What better to make it with than fresh ingredients! Laramie has a fun Farmer's Market, and there's an even bigger one in Cheyenne. Next week we are canning from the Cheyenne market! (Coconut fat whipped cream and fresh raspberries - favourite treat ever!) (Pear butter and soy bread) Tell you what. After a long day of illustrating, you have to get your cook on and enjoy something! Check out my store on teacherspayteachers.com .:Here:.         Plus I needed to actually dress myself (hey, you have to be comfy when drawing!) because we were going to a law party. Remember that Tommy shirt I got? New favourite! And my shoes? Woot! I paired it with my cousin's Fifth and Mae state necklace, the pearl earrings Austin got me, and my bangles from my aunt's jewelery business Sophia and Chloe.   Today after my other work (Mcdonald's) we went to the Farmer's Market here in Laramie. We originally were goin

Wizard.

The Last Three Days. Ugh. The last three days I was sick with an infection again . (But this is no news because Dystonia lowers your immune system so you're sick all the time and bad.) So anyway, the two days I was supposed to work, I was spilling my beans.  And I was supposed to take my nurse entrance exam today.  But guess who's a wizard? Yer a wizard Brenny! The power went out at the LCCC student services building, so we went directly to the testing area. As I was explaining to the lady that I had to take a nurse test and "it's very important, I need to find out which testing center it is. The power went out in the student service building where I was supposed to take it...." Zip! That building too! And my testing building.  Which.... all the computers with the Kaplan test where obviously not all-go. "Call again!" is what they told us (Wyoming for come back soon), and I now have my "three week wait" waive
