Friends

One of our good friends came into town for a geological conference, and so we got together for a dinner. I had to make caramel apples!! Honeycrisp --who can resist? We met as married couples at BYU-I and his wife wasn't out here, so I made her applesauce and a cat toy for their cat! She recently sent me the coolest stuff including Kefir --when I make it I'll do blog post! She's pro, mine might be a scary experiment haha! So excited tho! Here's the kitty toy for their kitty I made --naturally a Jackalope ;) It's gotten very cold especially at night. Austin says it isn't Halloween without snow... so we're getting close here! We needed new sheets and a warmer comforter, so we got a microfiber comforter. (SERIOUSLY... go to Walmart, only $30 and SO comfy we can't get the kitty off of it haha!) Also we were in need of some sheets. Polka dots!! If you thought Juno was left out of the upgrades, she totally got spoilt. It

Little Shadow

This little guy has been wanting to join in on all the fun lately. I can't keep her away from all my side projects! Or away from anything for that matter. I think this is the farthest away she'll stay from you... And even then it's just because there's a window and I told her no table. (So what does she do? The counter. Don't worry we have lysol spray ready to go haha.)  They weren't kidding at the shelter when they said she was a companion kitty! I'll tell you what though. Staying home alone until 1:00am when Austin comes home sucks. Having a little shadow around makes it so great! Even if she does try and bite my yarn while I crochet. Buddies forever! Speaking of crocheting, I am almost done with my chunky-knit scarf!  After that I'm on to two aprons Susan brought down the pattern for me to make.  Austin and I have started Insanity again because we're not active outside anymore (it's gonna snow F

T-Shirts

Today was just one of those days. And also a day I was reminded the Lord puts people in our lives for a reason, no matter how small the incident may seem.  I've had four tests in a row. Late nights...   Today I had 140 minutes to make it to Cheyenne and back in time to take a lab test in class. Why did I go to Cheyenne? To turn in this baby. My dad randomly called me this morning while I was on the road ready to turn the application in and calmed my nerves. Thanks Dad! And Mom texted me too same time! So yeah, it's in! Please pray for me! I was just frustrated because I was on a time crunch, and the trip to Cheyenne involves mountains yadda yadda. So when I arrived back in Laramie late to class, I was hiding out in the hallway listening in on the last 8 min of the lecture section of my Anatomy class. Larry the janitor who is just so sweet came up to talk to me right in front of the doorway, and I quickly let him know I was sneaking around... this prof

Pinspirating

I pin like nuts when fall comes around, because if you haven't heard by now, it's my favourite season! In order to use the clothes I already have, I needed some inspiration to make me feel like I got new outfits. (College students, remember?) So once again, Pinterest was my go-to. Pins: I decided to go for my version :) And Mom's watch :D Later on that day we went out to eat with family at a downtown restaurant named Joseph's. While waiting for some family we got on the subject of silly/dramatic high school senior portraits... and Austin struck this pose haha! Typical right? I never got those done. (Seriously Mom, thank you for not making me do that!) So here's to silly portraits... It started raining, which made me so happy because I'm on a Fall kick! The restaurant, we found out, caters a lot to GF people so I had a variety of opitions! When we got home, I finished canning my applesauce! I believe that

Organize it.

Juno's been wondering what the hell.  All this Fall Time, and preparation for winter and the rough parts of school has been nuts! The neighbor's dogs are inside now because of the week long rain. Our pumpkins are spreading and starting their bulbs.  Corn season is happening... Our bikes are under the tarp for the rain, and our backyard is screaming Fall! Austin and I ride the bus, especially when it's rainy and whatnot rather than our bikes. We get to pass the coolest things on the way to the bus stop --old homes and sunflowers, and railroad tracks! But that also means we really have no time... we walk 15 minutes to catch the beginning of the bus route, and then it's a 50 minute ride to LCCC for me. We often got home with no time to cook and places to be, and I was tired of it! Being married and working and doing school is not easy.  I decided to make it easy on myself and Austin via Pinterest, and these b
