That February Holiday (No Not President's Day.)

We're not big valentine's people....

But it happens anyway.

And it happened on my 13 hour day.

So..... we made the most out of it and if you know us it was awesome ;)

After EITC (my CNA college) one day, I showed up to Carla's office all tired and busy and nasty in my scrubs... and she had all this beautiful paper out. It looked like a Wes Anderson scene and of course we discussed Wes Anderson with my friend Annie too haha! And soon we were all chatting and making valentines the old fashioned way. There is glory in the small things.

I told Austin not to do anything or I'd be really pissed.

(That's how it went with my engagement ring too, I told him if he didn't get me a pearl I'd be pissed. And believe you me he almost got me a diamond because the easy price tag on the pearl made him nervous. Can I just say there's a lot said about that?)

Well. There was my favorite Rose he snuck in with a note <3

And in spirits of anti-valentine's gift, I gave Austin a gift. But it wasn't a valentine gift, it was his finished anniversary gift (a long-stitched leather book that I burned images on :) )

Flying Solo

Austin's been a solo man as of late.... I got super sick with a bacterial infection (as of late, more tests to come.) But before that was Austin with a 5 day flu, and then me with the flu, and then when I got better from that, I got an infection woot woot! Healthy over here! I got super flu-y again over the weekend and I won't go into details. I got a bit better and I had been fine to go teach a class on Monday at my college because I had gotten over what I though to be whatever Austin had. Then Tuesday went to my CNA class. And while I was there I was talking to a friend. She was telling me about her annoying apartment neighboors and I shouted, " UM... I'mma be sick hold on...." And I swear to St. Maria I have every trash can mapped out in that EITC building because when I went bursting down the hallway to the bathroom, it felt like friggin videogames and finding checkpoints. I ended up cleaning the EITC bathroom stall for them.... let's...

Snowglobes of Wonder and Joy

I made snowglobes! I've always loved those, even as a little kid. Then I saw DIY's on Pinterest, and thought.... Why hadn't I thought of making them before?? So in a nutshell, jars, hot glue, brush christmas trees (or anything plastic-y) glitter... and then to fill the jar, distilled water, glitter and some corn syrup to thicken it! I made all of these (already had jars) for $4.00! We attempted a gingerbread house with some friends... as you can see it looks like a crackhouse. So... I think it's best I stick with the kind of art I know haha! I made a lot of books this break, and Austin can't complain cause he's an Eng. Lit. The Last Stretch

I am on the last little stretch before the surgery! It's amazing how in denial I can still be, thinking that I do not have anything wrong. But then you get a wake up call when your body does funky things you can't stop, and then you fall down the stairs twice. Once I popped my shoulder, and the second I popped a hip and broke my back molar coming down on my side. So I got that tooth fixed ASAP, thank the heavens it didn't damage any roots! At the dentist my mouth was opened for an extended period of time, and needles were involved. Just when you think you have this whole Dystonia thing under control.... another reminder! I got lock jaw while working as a floor nurse! My jaw had increasing pain through the week, and I revisited the dentist. Nothing wrong with my tooth. At work, it sealed shut (and not to be gross) but when you have an intense cramp like that, it causes immense pain. I do in fact throw up sometimes from the pain. Well if your mouth seals... and tons...
