Rain and Bikes

It rained super hard today! Apparently that is unusual for May in Wyoming, so I made a little video of it. It literally is of rain, just warning you haha!

We've been job hunting like crazy. I found out Wyoming will not even look at you until you have a Wyoming license in hand. So I will have to wait for a month to receive it in the mail. Boo. But good news is I got a full-time insurance benefits and everything job at McDonald's! (You know, the stereotypical job people always joke about when you graduate with your art degree haha) No, I've actually been blessed to have many art opportunities after graduating, it's awesome!! In fact, I got a check in the mail from my illustrations that covers a month's rent woot! I've got the whole summer to work and save! I am also waiting to hear back from the place where I'd get to be a phlebotomy person, so hopefully!

Austin got interviews at Wells Fargo as a teller, and the Hilton. Also, we are both waiting after interviews at a rehabilitation place. We've been go-go-go from 8am to 3pm everyday. I cannot tell you how many places we've looked and applied. Even online, it's been intense. So we're grateful to find these positions at least for the summer!

I caught Austin after a long day and night of applying:

We've been cooking lots at home, and big portions of cheap stuffs like our thai peanut soup! It stretches and has lots of protein. And mung bean noodles are the best and cheap haha!

I love our new kitchen island too, we had to get one at Walmart because we don't have a lot of counter space. After having it though, I think I'd get one even if I did have counter space because it's so freaking convenient to have --roll it where ever! Chop the veggies by the stove, and they're right there to dump :) Veggies btw are craptons cheaper here in Wyoming because the Walmart distribution center is in Cheyenne (45min away.) We get everything fresh, fresh, fresh! (For being inland.....)

We've been doing small things so we don't spend. I found 89¢ Mango juice cans for a mini-date from the Philippines! Straight up mango juice. I really want to go back to St. Lucia now....We literally ate them in the ocean fresh from the trees. Or if you were feeling frivolous like I did one day... get a Mango shake lol!

But these came pretty freaking close:

It's interesting because Laramie is such a cycling town. Not competitive, but everyone even beyond college students owns some schnazy bikes. Everyone rides everywhere! I was so happy because Austin talked about using part of his graduation money on a walmart bike like mine, and he finally got one! Plus we did some upgrades as we are totally able to bike for shopping. My bike finally got a crate and rack on the back! So did Austin's! Speaking of which, we are going to ride to get a movie to rent tonight. Loving it! (Okay shut up.... "I'm Lovin' it!" hahahaha)

To Be Honest.

I've been thinking a lot, and a lot has been going on.  Lorde radio on Pandora is a good way to zone out. So is sewing, and doing all those other mindless activities I love, and that keep me happy. I haven't written on this blog because to be honest, it's been difficult lately. To get the sob story quick and out of the way, I've been in a self-pity mode, and super down on myself. I had a very difficult time at BYU because of a crappy life occurrence that made the decision to leave the best decision of my life. It was hard to get my BFA between the BYU's when I transferred, and I couldn't work on a second diploma I was seeking. I ended up with the most amazing BFA situation though, and that has been a blessing. (And the most awesome thing happened too, obviously. --marriage! I would never ever change that!) The last year into my BFA I found out definitive stuff about my dystonia, including no children. And the nursing program chase has not be

Grateful.

Austin has been the best support. I definitely married out of my league.  He's been very proactive in finding lots of healthy things for my recommended diet (by the neurological disorder peeps, and an intolerance.) because my hemidystonia has had less spasms and cramps. As of lately, brown rice bread!  Seriously, it's great even if you don't need wheat-free. It's a nice change of pace! It's sweet and light. .:Recipe Here:. We grind our own brown rice to save money. Winco here in Idaho has  the best deal for bulk brown rice :)  Here's a crazy picture of my hand, this was actually the first spasm/cramp I've had in a bit. (Haha, least my nails are painted ;) ) This is actually why (for those of you who've asked) Intaglio will not be my last degree. I was informed that I've got a good chance of this happening to my right side too.  Art might get interesting! But I plan to keep doing it as a career too, no matter what!

Moonrise Bunnies

Thank you for the chocolate bunnies Carmen Family!! we may or may have not remembered it was easter? Such a Surprise! In sad news, our favorite video store is going out of business. We loved getting recommendations from the people who worked there. Austin and I had no idea our favorite date spot was going out and went to go get a movie.... and we ended up with this sweet stack!! (They sold them waaay discounted. We got all of these for the price of two new DVDs!)  It was funny because when we walked in and realized what was going on, we freaked out because we wanted our favorite movies! Everything Illuminated and Moonrise Kingdom (among others but these were the first ones that came to mind) And Everything Illuminated was gone! Austin freaked because he couldn't remember what Moonrise Kingdom was called. He said... EDWARD NORTON. WHICH ONE WAS THAT?? Of course I look at him like wtf are you talking about the Hulk or the Painted Veil or something? Fig
