Moonrise Bunnies

Thank you for the chocolate bunnies Carmen Family!!

we may or may have not remembered it was easter?

Such a Surprise!
In sad news, our favorite video store is going out of business. We loved getting recommendations from the people who worked there. Austin and I had no idea our favorite date spot was going out and went to go get a movie.... and we ended up with this sweet stack!! (They sold them waaay discounted. We got all of these for the price of two new DVDs!)

It was funny because when we walked in and realized what was going on, we freaked out because we wanted our favorite movies! Everything Illuminated and Moonrise Kingdom (among others but these were the first ones that came to mind) And Everything Illuminated was gone! Austin freaked because he couldn't remember what Moonrise Kingdom was called. He said... EDWARD NORTON. WHICH ONE WAS THAT?? Of course I look at him like wtf are you talking about the Hulk or the Painted Veil or something? Fight Club??

"No! The --'Jimminy Crickets, he flew the coop!'"

Yeah.... there's no Jimminy Crickets in Fight Club.

We are so excited!!

My BFA was amazing. I will upload a sweet video I made of it soon, and now it's just onto my U.S. Maps and prints that people bought at my show! Thank you everyone that came, it was nice to share with you all!

Lastly, my good friend Shaylee gave me a massage because she has to get her hours done for her massage therapy school. I think she's the one doing me a favor...... because I was so relaxed for two-three whole days (and if you know me dystonia doesn't let you relax for long!) When my dystonia decided to come back, I got a fever and chills it hurt so bad! I forgot what it felt like because I got to enjoy a few days without it! Anyway, she sent me home with this chart about feet and reflexology. Did you know you can pinpoint your whole body on your feet? You can even get a pregnant person to go into labor if you wanted!

I finished clinicals today! And Austin finished most of his major projects. We are slowly winding down, and getting ready for graduation!

Hope you're relaxed and eating Easter candy too! Until next time... xoxoxo!

    It's the color of sinners."

    literally snorted my drink.

Joyeux Noël

My Mom and Lance came out! Austin and I took it as an opportunity to cook the heck out of our kitchen for them! We got a white Christmas which was amazing. For two reasons: Mom and Lance are from California and so it was magical for them, and it could be our last white Christmas for a while! (A lot of schools are in the South.)  My mom's side of the family is very German so we celebrate Christmas Eve. We used to have minestrone soup, but everyone hated it. So... we turned to our California roots and make tortilla soup instead. As a kid, it always made sense that Christmas happened at night. All the pictures you saw of baby Jesus were at night with the star. My mom said when she was little, she just thought German kids were special haha! I made my mom and Lance some hardcase books, a snowglobe, and got them a ceramic ornament. Santa also surprised them in the morning with a stocking ;) My grandma Hofmann used to make these egg ornaments (she passed away in 19...

Snowglobes of Wonder and Joy

I made snowglobes!  I've always loved those, even as a little kid. Then I saw DIY's on Pinterest, and thought.... Why hadn't I thought of making them before?? So in a nutshell, jars, hot glue, brush christmas trees (or anything plastic-y) glitter... and then to fill the jar, distilled water, glitter and some corn syrup to thicken it! I made all of these (already had jars) for $4.00! We attempted a gingerbread house with some friends... as you can see it looks like a crackhouse.    So... I think it's best I stick with the kind of art I know haha! I made a lot of books this break, and Austin can't complain cause he's an Eng. Lit.  He's been busy cooking some more amazing meals and snacks! Those are a healthy alfredo with quinoa base, and the other are applechips! Visit our Recipe page for cooking instructions .:here:. Also, for those who don't already know after my super obnoxious facebook excitement...

Flying Solo

Austin's been a solo man as of late....  I got super sick with a bacterial infection (as of late, more tests to come.) But before that was Austin with a 5 day flu, and then me with the flu, and then when I got better from that, I got an infection woot woot! Healthy over here! I got super flu-y again over the weekend and I won't go into details. I got a bit better and I had been fine to go teach a class on Monday at my college because I had gotten over what I though to be whatever Austin had. Then Tuesday went to my CNA class. And while I was there I was talking to a friend. She was telling me about her annoying apartment neighboors and I shouted, " UM... I'mma be sick hold on...." And I swear to St. Maria I have every trash can mapped out in that EITC building because when I went bursting down the hallway to the bathroom, it felt like friggin videogames and finding checkpoints.  I ended up cleaning the EITC bathroom stall for them.... let's...
