Birthdays and Beginnings

I made the most death-filled cake for Austin's 27th.
Milky Way cake!
(it's his favourite candy.... and pinterest called for it .:here:.

The chocolate cake I used was King Arthur's gluten free --but seriously people, it's the best dang chocolate cake out there... so moist! Sean even ate it and loved it, and that's saying something!

The BEST vanilla ever was made by my cousin Rachel... who btw started an amazing blog .:Here:.
She's always doing neat homemade stuffs.

Even though this was a crazy nasty sugar upon sugar cake, there's something said about fresh and quality ingredients (the cake mix, the vanilla...)

We enjoyed ourselves with a family event of horseshoes and a dinner :) Of course Austin's dad won. He's pro and has a pit at their home. I think it's neat the city of Laramie has a whole area for horseshoes!

I only got one day off this week, and it was so nice to celebrate my awesome husband and see my family. We ended the night with presents, and of course I had to throw in this shirt for Austin's new adventures as a law student. I keep teasing him I'll show up with lunches and cheerleader pom-poms while he studies. ;)

I've been having way too much fun at work (yet super exhausted.) Monopoly is on! I can't win the million dollars or anything, nor can anyone that knows me in any remote way (sorry people lol) But you can still win free food... check out my collection from my break cups!

Little things at work keep you sane. I work with the funnest people though so I shouldn't complain. In fact, I am so sad that next week will be my last full time week. I start a lot of schooling, image making for my image shop .:here:., and I have my nurse entrance exam in two weeks!

This is the first time I've ever worked full time, and I have the utmost respect for people who do this for their career and living. It wears me out!

I have weekend availability and I need to focus elsewhere (illustrations and nursing)... sometimes it seems like so much but I know in the end it will be worth it.

Austin's worked super hard as a server at the Hilton, and we both know it's how we get to survive together, make our schooling possible, and have extra money for adoption.

We're on our way!
It's so exciting to think about!

I think the Cat is excited we'll at least be home more too... she waits for us everyday in the window, and naps until we're home to play! I feel sad she has to snuggle with the furniture while we're away lol.

Wish we could share our cake with you all!
xoxo from Wyoming!

Flying Solo

Austin's been a solo man as of late....  I got super sick with a bacterial infection (as of late, more tests to come.) But before that was Austin with a 5 day flu, and then me with the flu, and then when I got better from that, I got an infection woot woot! Healthy over here! I got super flu-y again over the weekend and I won't go into details. I got a bit better and I had been fine to go teach a class on Monday at my college because I had gotten over what I though to be whatever Austin had. Then Tuesday went to my CNA class. And while I was there I was talking to a friend. She was telling me about her annoying apartment neighboors and I shouted, " UM... I'mma be sick hold on...." And I swear to St. Maria I have every trash can mapped out in that EITC building because when I went bursting down the hallway to the bathroom, it felt like friggin videogames and finding checkpoints.  I ended up cleaning the EITC bathroom stall for them.... let's...

Snowglobes of Wonder and Joy

I made snowglobes!  I've always loved those, even as a little kid. Then I saw DIY's on Pinterest, and thought.... Why hadn't I thought of making them before?? So in a nutshell, jars, hot glue, brush christmas trees (or anything plastic-y) glitter... and then to fill the jar, distilled water, glitter and some corn syrup to thicken it! I made all of these (already had jars) for $4.00! We attempted a gingerbread house with some friends... as you can see it looks like a crackhouse.    So... I think it's best I stick with the kind of art I know haha! I made a lot of books this break, and Austin can't complain cause he's an Eng. Lit.  He's been busy cooking some more amazing meals and snacks! Those are a healthy alfredo with quinoa base, and the other are applechips! Visit our Recipe page for cooking instructions .:here:. Also, for those who don't already know after my super obnoxious facebook excitement...

Small Town's Lively

Thanksgiving we kept it lively. Intense dart matches (Cricket folks, it's all about Cricket!) And if you know a thing or two bout it look at those darts! Also, I made this amazing gluten-free pie Recipe . :Here:. (If you want to know ... the floor was the only one who  got a taste of it... I dropped it shortly thereafter this pic.) I made the pie for my ward to help out, because we were headed  to Chuck-a-rama with some great friends. You have got to do that one year. No mess, cheap, and a blast. And a frozen yogurt machine. Sadly we still had to work (welcome to real life!) But we had our usual strolls to the Valley Wide to get some pops. Black Friday presented itself with some great deals online... we went to see what Walmart was like at 8pm because Austin and I had never "Black Friday-ed." Never. Again. However.... midnight at Target, Santa came  early to Brennyn! Great deal on some boots I...
